Massage and Chiropractic Work Well Together

I have always had an interest in biology and how the body works, and also natural ways of helping the body. When I began having some back problems I decided to see a Chiropractor. I was told that my muscles where very tense and that I would probably benefit from seeing a Massage Therapist. I was told it could help decrease the muscle tension, help with my back pain, and also that massage and chiropractic treatments work well together in treating the body. They worked very well for me and that's when I decided to turn my interest into a career. I started college shortly afterward. I went to school at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Cambridge and became a Registered Massage Therapist in February of 2009.
Massage Therapy is a wonderful way to treat the mind, body and spirit naturally. It has been shown to be beneficial in helping to decrease stress, tension and pain you may be experiencing, it can be used as a wonderful way to relax, and also to help the body use its own healing abilities. I've had people ask me why would they get a massage when they are not having any problems. I tell them that even if you feel great a massage can still be relaxing and could help the body to prevent injury.
During my treatment I endeavour to create a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Each client is treated according to their individual needs and all information given to me is kept complete confidence. Everyone I speak to has experienced excellent results with their massage therapy treatments and I encourage everyone to add massage as one of the therapies for ongoing great health.
