Your First Visit: Our Main Focus Will be What Caused this?

On your first visit, our main focus is finding out what is causing your health problems. In order to do this we will have you fill out some basic paperwork outlining your health concerns and a history of any physical traumas that may have contributed to them.

In-depth Health Consultation

Then we will perform an in-depth Health Consultation to diagnose the cause of your health problem, how long it has been there, how severe it is and it’s progression, in order to formulate the best plan of management to solve your health problem.

Comprehensive Physical Exam

Next, a comprehensive Physical Exam (you don’t need to undress) will be performed to assess exactly where the weaknesses are that are causing your health problem. We will measure ranges of spinal motion, muscle tension, leg length inequality and assess segmental spinal function.

All of this information will be used as a Baseline for future reference to measure your functional improvement at each Progressive Exam. (These future Progressive Exams ensure that you are getting continued positive results, and avoid patients hitting a plateau with their care.)

X-Rays

Finally, we will take a series of x-rays (if indicated by your history or exam) using our on-site, State-of-the-Art, x-ray facility.  The high-frequency generator and digitized imaging system we use means the dosage to you is kept to an absolute minimum. Your x-rays are then used to determine how long the problem has been there and how long it will take to correct. This allows us to better determine the appropriate adjusting technique for you and the most effective program of care, to ensure the fastest results possible.

The first visit may take anywhere between 60-90 minutes depending on the case.

Doctor's reportSecond Visit: Your Report of Findings

During the second visit, you will attend a Doctor’s Report of findings. You will be asked to bring your spouse or parent (for children) as a second set of ears so they too can understand your health problems and the specialized type of corrective chiropractic care we offer

Doctor’s Report

The Doctor’s Report will initially go over general health principles (How Your Body Heals, What Health Is, and What Health Is Not) then focus on How To Read X-Rays, and the specialized type of Corrective care we do. Examples of other patients’ Before and After X-Rays will be shown to help you better understand your own x-rays.

You will then be shown your own x-rays and given a Recommended Program of Care outlining a program designed just for you, based on all of the collected exam and x-ray information, to correct the cause of your problems.

Your first Adjustment

Once given all of the information, if you choose to begin care we will give you your first gentle, safe, and scientific adjustment starting you on the Road to Better Health.

This visit including the Doctor’s Report, consultation, and first adjustment will take between 2-3 hours.

Regular Visits: Your time is important to us

During a typical subsequent visit to the clinic you will be greeted warmly by name and shown how to use your “magic” key fob to sign in to our digital patient management program containing all of your clinical, financial, exam and X-ray information.

You will then move to the pre-adjustment rehab area where you will be shown how to do specialized activities to relax your body and prepare you to receive your adjustment. During this time you will have the opportunity to watch Chiro TV which provides you with interesting and useful health tips.

A central computer monitor will then direct you to your table where you will lay down and relax before receiving your adjustment.

What to Expect

When it is your turn to get adjusted you may go into the adjusting room and lay down on the table (clothing stays on).Your Doctor will be right with you when he has finished with the patient before you. Depending on the style of adjusting that your doctor has chosen for you, based on your history, exam and X-ray findings, you will either be adjusted gently by hand or by using a low-force technique with a specialized table.

An Activator adjusting instrument may also be used where Ultra Low Force Adjusting is required or requested (ie. low bone density, post-traumatic, babies following birth trauma, seniors with advanced Arthritis, or persons not comfortable with conventional manual adjusting).

Following your life-saving adjustment, you are free to go and enjoy all the benefits of your new found health and vitality.
